Sharlene has over 10 years’ experience in the digital industry and financial services. She started her career in Canada in ad operations, event production and media sales.
Moving to Brisbane in 2010, she joined Suncorp Bank as a digital marketer. In the following five years, she led the eCommerce, digital marketing, and 1:1 efforts for the Bank, including a major site redesign and re-platform that took a mobile-responsive and user feedback approach, before moving into a Group role in 2016.
She spent two years in the Customer Journeys team – in which her role was geared at enabling the delivery of customer value projects in a digital-first way, with a strong test and learn approach, commercial-thinking, and cross-channel experience. This involved using digital and technology expertise, test and learn, integrated offers, and narrative/storytelling.
She currently leads the Digital and Direct team at RACQ, which manages digital and direct marketing, digital experience and optimisation, and digital production across the various product and service offerings.
